I built this loft in the Summer of 2007 for the purpose of keeping white racing pigeons, which I plan to use for white dove release at weddings, funerals, and celebrations.

Although it may look complicated to build it was very simple to construct and only took one weekend and a few evenings to complete.

The inside measures 8' x 4' and should hold a team of 16 - 20 pigeons. The breeding stock birds are housed in a different loft.

I used reclaimed bricks and timber for the base, roofing batten for the frame work which I clad with T & G cladding and the roof is covered with green mineral felt.

I plan to put a small flight on the front this Spring/Summer [2008].
